About Last Night
Brighton elopement inspiration with sparkle and chips (of course)
I dreamt up the concept for ‘About Last Night’ after spotting Rosa Bloom’s incredible sequin jumpsuits on Instagram; I knew immediately that they would be a hit with brides and grooms that really wanted to throw out the rulebook and the rest, they say, is history! I wanted this elopement to feel care-free and still totally original, it needed to be something a couple could literally throw together in a couple of months whilst still having a bold and beautiful style at its heart. I’d met Chloe Mary earlier in the year and couldn’t imagine anybody else shooting with such a candid, sexy and edgy style; similarly, I knew that the vibrant and untamed blooms of Jane from Dove and Myrtle, as well as the forever-original and gorgeous creations of Tiny Sarah’s Cakes were a perfect fit. Some of my favourite details were the bespoke ‘Just Us’ balloons from Peach Blossom and those show-stopping crowns from Lucky Sixpence; in all honesty though, I was (and still am) in love with everything involved.
‘About Last Night’ was created with a couple in love at the very centre; it isn’t about enormous budgets, intimidating guest lists and conformist traditions, instead it sets out to prove that as long as it’s about the two of you (and the odd handful of glitter, of course), it will become what a wedding should always be: A damn good party.
