Basak and Tomas - A handmade wedding with Turkish dancing, bunting and meze!

Back in August Laura at Devine Bride asked if I would be able to assist her at a gorgeous wedding at Hackney Showrooms, East London.

Bas and Tom wanted to include an array of personal touches, with many having links to their families' backgrounds including evil-eye favours and a huge selection of beautiful wheat and dried-flower centre pieces. The guests feasted on the most incredible meze platters and then partied the night away with Turkish dancing and TWO guest DJs. On the day Laura and I had lots (and lots and lots!) of delicate paper bunting to hang both inside and out, as well as dressing the venue and tables with all of the couple's collected decorations, before making sure the guests were welcomed ready for the bride and groom's grand entrance.

The day was fun, relaxed and full of laughter, with even the occasional summer-downpour failing to put a stop on the party (or the bunting!) You can find even more snaps of the day, taken by the awesome Harmit Kambo aka 'The Snapper', over on the Devine Bride website.

Jump the Broom assisted Planner and Co-ordinator Devine Bride with venue set-up and provided further support during the day.
