Kat and Colin
Over the summer I was lucky enough to be able to assist Laura at Devine Bride at this Mexican - fiesta inspired wedding at The Round Chapel, Hackney; featuring a Mariachi band, an array of bright and beautiful blooms from Eliza Honey and more colourful bunting and lanterns than you could shake a pinata stick at!
Kat and Colin got engaged in Mexico, so they wanted to incorporate lots of colourful decor to recreate the festival atmosphere that they'd fallen in love with; in true DIY bride style, Kat spent months sourcing, collecting and creating hundreds of paper lanterns, felt pompoms and traditional bunting to fill their venue to the brim with rainbow fun. As it is a dry-hire venue everything had been sourced externally, so on the day I assisted Laura in creating a selection of fabulous installations using Kat's decorations, as well as providing support with the venue turn-around later from aisle to bar and dance floor!
Despite the classically British downpour outside it was a beautiful, bold and sunshine-filled wedding with lots of gorgeous DIY touches, you can find even more fabulous snaps of the day (taken by super-fun photographer Chloe Lee) over on the Devine Bride website.
Jump the Broom assisted Planner and Co-ordinator Devine Bride with venue set-up and provided further support during the day.
