Jess + James

We were lucky enough to have Kate as our on day coordinator for our Old Marylebone Town Hall and London pub wedding back in October and we are so so glad we did! I cannot imagine getting married without her, and it allowed us to be truly present in every bit of our wedding day which I know would not have been the case without her. Everyone says it goes so fast, and it really does. So after spending a fortune on the rest of the day why would you not then invest in the one cost that really allows you to put aside all the plans in your head, forget your Trello board, and handover the reigns to just have the BEST DAY EVER and enjoy all the fun you have painstakingly planned. We had our reception at a London pub who is building their experience in hosting weddings and wanted someone who would make sure our vision came to life and keep a slightly chaotic day with multiple locations and spaces organised, to time (and manage our going rogue with timings like a pro), and interact with all our suppliers on the boring bits so we didn't have to.

With Kate it's not just a stranger behind a clip board for 8 hrs on the day, but a proper hero by your side in the run up who also happens to be a super fun, lovely mega babe as well as being excellent at her job, allowing more time for drinking post dinner Espresso martinis with your guests and on the dance floor with that band you spent months looking for. Book Kate, you won't regret it! You'll just be sad when it's over and don't get to hang out with her anymore.

When I first met James and Jessica I knew that we were set for an amazing party; Jess told me they'd be serving 'Jesspresso Martinis' and I was sold on the spot! They were due to get married at Marylebone Town Hall before heading over to the Bull and Gate in Kentish Town for their meal and reception but wanted someone on hand to make sure the numerous location changes and room turnarounds where overseen by a pro, as well as having someone to make sure every element of their decor was set perfectly in the morning.

Jess absolutely wowed me with her organisation (labelled bags of place cards? Yes please!) and I knew she wanted to leave the day to someone she trusted, especially as the guests had to be taken via double decker bus to the pub, hosted for a drinks reception upstairs, back down into the main dining room for the meal, out into the bar area for cocktail hour and then back into the main room for the party (phew!). There were also two main spaces to organise and decorate; the upstairs bar which hosted 'pimp your prosecco' as well as lots of lovely handmade touches from Jess an James, and the downstairs dining hall, which we dressed with light curtains, floating candles, neon signs and a giant piñata; all finished beautifully with gorgeous, autumnal florals by Lizzie Thorne. The guests danced to awesome brass band renditions of modern hits from More is More and tucked into a mountain of cake and brownies from Southeast Cakery, it didn't disappoint in being an absolute banger of a party and I had to fight the temptation to stay and join in with all the festivities (J+J actually tried to instruct me to drink a Jesspresso Martini - I resisted); it was a laid-back and love-filled day, perfect for such a gorgeous couple!
