Becky + Luke
"The thought of planning a wedding and having a newborn baby was totally overwhelming for us and we knew we’d need some help to achieve the wedding we had envisioned: that's where Kate came in, and we are SO glad she did! Kate went away and came back with so many ideas and options, which fitted into different budgets, so we had the chance to pick and choose what worked for us. She used her knowledge and expertise to put things into place we wouldn't of even thought of and went above and beyond; from hand making little details for the decorations, to accompanying Becky for a venue meet and viewing.
The biggest bonus from having Kate as our planner was her organisation and coordination on the morning of the wedding. A key point of the day for us was to have family members enjoy their time, so the thought of them having to dress the venue wasn’t ideal, but we shouldn't have worried as Kate was there, bright and early, leading the set up!
It’s clear why people should hire a Planner like Kate: you have spent so much on your day it needs to be enjoyed by all, yourselves included! We are forever grateful to Kate for taking away any stress or worries we had, she was the final cog in our wedding team and it certainly would have been a lot more stressful without her. Kate is filled with passion and we knew she cared just as much about the wedding day as we did, instilling confidence that we had placed our wedding day in very safe hands."
Becky and Luke said 'I do' in July 2018 at St Paul's Church in Tunbridge Wells, before heading over to The Gardens in Yalding for a gorgeous outdoor reception. The couple both wanted their day to be relaxed and joyful, with plenty to do for guests of all ages, whilst still having an elegant, rustic look.
With a modest but completely achievable budget, it was important to source some great DIY ideas whilst also calling on the impressive skills of friends and family; from the romantic and striking stationery designed by a close friend, to the tasselled balloons and ruscus table runners created by me and carefully arranged by a band of willing helpers the morning of! In the run up, I worked closely with Becky to source and create original and budget-friendly solutions for the fantastic vision that she had for the day, with elements such as children's activity boxes and beautiful hanging flower hoops, all of which came together to create a wedding truly reflective of the couple's thoughtful and wonderfully laid-back selves.
